With new regulations coming into force banning the discharge of untreated ballast water from other regions to protect local marine life from non-native bacteria and organisms, Cunard shipping appointed Seatec as the principal designer to produce installation work packages to allow Water Ballast Treatment equipment to be installed into their existing fleet of passenger ships during their planned dry-docking.
Esbel are providing the electrical design and system integration support for this work. So far we have carried out surveys and provided design and installation packages for the following ships, Queen Mary 2, Adonia, Azura, Vittoria & Victoria.
